Parish council and catholic sabha went for a one day picnic to Amembal Mr.John Vincent Veigas farm. He is an ideal farmer who has got many awards both by state and different organizations.

It was a feast for the eyes to watch mixed cultivated garden, fish pond, piggery and organic farming. Both Mr. Veigas and Mr. Sanjeev Naik Assistant director of agriculture shared their views on profitable and organic farming. Lots of games were conducted and sumptuous lunch made every body happy.

He has developed a special breed crossing the wild boar and the local pigs. one pig was slaughtered  and dishes were prepared on the spot. Heavy down pour of rain made our movements a bit difficult. But the zeal and the interest of all the members defeated all the excuses.
