Nov. 20: A meaningful parish day was celebrated to commemorate the 82nd anniversary of the establishment of the Alangar Holy Rosary Church Moodbidri on 20th November, 2011

Rev Fr James Pius D'Souza OCD.the superior of the Carmelite monastery of Bikarnakatte Mangalore presided over the celebrations at solemn high mass and was the chief guest at the felicitation and entertainment program  thereafter.

Fr.Pius preached that it is required to revive our faith,availability for service and active participation in parish programmes inorder to build up the parish as a family.He appreciated the active participation of the parish clergy  and the people under the leadership of Rev Fr Basil Vas.

Many competitions on individual level as well as among the wards were organized since many days.All the elder people of the parish were specially honored especially those above 80 years were felicitated by the president.All the talented persons of the parish and those with exceptional contributions to the society were also felicitated.

There were meaningful skits and dances by the people of different wards.There was sumptuous lunch for all the parishioners .The meals were prepared by the people themselves.

Rev Fr Denis Prakash Lobo ofm cap,Rev Fr Jeevan Tauro,Rev Fr. Eugine Cssr,Rev Fr.Henry Cssr and Fr.Prem Prakash Cssr along with Rev Fr.Vernon Vaz, Rev Fr. Edwin Pinto and Rev Fr.Basil were present.

The Reverend sisters from holy Rosary convent,Christ king Convent,Good shepherd convent and from Nirmala convent were also actively present as all of them belong to this parish.

The Parish priest Rev Fr Basil vas presided over the programme.
