This year's catechism was inaugurated on 09.06.2019 during the main Mass at 7.30am.

Fr Boniface Pinto professor of St Joseph Seminary was the main celebrant, who preached a very meaningful sermon on Importance of catechism in Christian Life. Student representatives of every class and all the teachers, parents representatives vice-president & secretary brought plants in procession together with the bible n took part in the inaugural ceremony. After honoring the Bible children placed the plants around the Bible and all poured water to the plants then lighted the lamp and officially inaugurated this year's catechism giving a call to all gathered to love the motherland & take care of it by planting & protecting the plants & trees for a better environment. This year special efforts will be made to train the Sunday catechism children in this field.

Catechism Teachers renewed their commitment n officially handed over the responsibility of teaching faith by the parish priest to teach catechism this year. Soon after the Mass New sister of the various congregation belonging to the parish we're welcomed with a floral honor. Soon after the Mass parents of catechism children had a input session on parents responsibility towards children's catechism & formation of faith by Fr Boniface Pinto. He also addressed all the catechism teachers where he motivated them to be effective faith formators.

Refreshments were served for all faithful who participated through the kind generosity of P.K Thomas  who won in the corporation election, being nominated as a member to Muda planning committee and blessed by a grand child. Fr Norbert Rodriguez a guest priest was also present to witness this beautiful celebration. Mr Santosh Rodriguez the convener of catechism took leadership to organize the whole celebration.
