Vanamahotsava 2014 was conducted by ICYM Alangar on 20th of July. Number of shade giving and fruit bearing plants were planted on both sides of the church road .The parish priest and the president of Lions Club Alangar Rev Fr Basil Vas,The vice president of parish council Mr Jerald Lobo, the animator of ICYM Mr Ivan Pinto and the President of ICYM Mr Anish Dsouza and all the members of ICYM participated actively and planted the plants. The parishioners were present in big number. It was noteworthy that the ICYM members themselves dug more than 30 pits in spite of the heavy down pour of July rains.
