In preparation for the feast of Infant Jesus, Novena was started at Alangar Church on Jan 3, 2020. V Rev Fr Paul Seqieira, Dean of Moodbidri Deanery hoisted the flag and inaugurated the 9 days' prayer and worship followed by Eucharistic celebration and Novena to nfant Jesus. Fr Maxim DSouza , professor St Joseph Seminary and parish priest Fr Walter D'souza concelebrated.

Except Friday, on all other days, Mass and Novena will be at 4.30 pm. Priests from the deanery will render services every day. "Jesus calls us to be the fervant missionaries", is the theme of this year's celebration.
