Monthi Fest was celebrated with devotion at Holy Rosary Church, Alangar. Parish priest Fr Walter D'Souza blessed New paddy corns. After the procession , Solemn Mass was celebrated. Fr Arun Lobo, director of counselling centre Mangalore Diocese was the main celebrant. He preached a beautiful sermon on the theme of evils that threaten our families. During Mass Biblothon Bible marathon was launched as per the direction of Bible commission.

Donors were honoured with a candle. Gurkars distributed blessed corns to the heads of the family. Parish as a family consumed Payasam mixed with Novem. Payasam, cake and sugarcane was distributed to all gathered.
